Dawn Meadows, Volunteer
Dawn joined the New Directions for Women team over five years ago, starting her work in the Human Resources and Quality Improvement departments. Her experience facilitating a successful CARF survey prepared her clinically as she also completed her Masters in Social Work from Cal State Long Beach. Dawn worked as our outpatient Primary Therapist for two years, conducting Art Therapy, Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) and Seeking Safety/Trauma groups at the outpatient level.
She is now a wonderful volunteer at New Directions for Women, contributing her time, talent and treasure in a multitude of ways. Her knowledge of the Quality Improvement processes help our team consistently improve outcomes and expand access to care.
Dawn’s focus on helping patients discover their strengths, building support systems, being solution focused, and developing healthy lifestyles sets the foundation for a lifelong recovery journey. She has a strong belief in integrative care to holistically address their needs. Dawn’s passion in life is empowering women and strengthening their self worth.
